I agree Nathanial although I would perhaps change the word 'social' to
'networking'. I think social implies that there can be no mention of
business, and plays into the 'why do I want to hear what someone had for
breakfast? I don't get social media' brigade!

Using Facebook to promote your business is very important because of the mass amount of people you can connect with. But it should be used as a social tool and not a hub for advertisements.

Great post jo – in particular the FB changing url of fan page when group hits over 25 fans – i have just done it with mine http://www.singlehotandloaded.co.uk – dont forget to become a fan from the bottom of the homepage.
